GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Grand Valley was invaded by high horsepower hidden in tiny cars all weekend long.
Flyin’ Miata, a Palisade company, that handles only Mazda Miata modifications hosted a four-day Summer Camp here in Grand Junction as a way to thank its loyal customers.
You probably saw them flying around the Valley as they tested their cars to the max.
The camp has been running for 13 years, and what started out as a small gathering, has grown significantly. Bringing in people from all over the world.
“Yeah, we have people from 13 states, one customer from Scotland and one from Britain. About 100 people overall,” says Flyin’ Miata Owner Bill Cardell.
The Summer Camp ran from Thursday to Sunday and included a day at the track, test rides in Flyin’ Miata company cars and cruises around town.
