GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Over the last ten years, there have been a lot of boom and a lot of bust in our local economy, however, several local businesses have been able to pull through and do great business.

This weekend, local businesses are asking Grand Valley residents to head to Main Street to celebrate their success, including the popular bike store Brown Cycles.

Store owner Chris Brown says his secret to entrepreneurial success is being flexible about his business as his customers' interests change, "Adapt or die is my motto," Brown says, "If you're not willing to be flexible, you won't last very long."

Brown Cycles is one of several businesses who are celebrating the anniversary of their opening which, for them, this is their tenth.

"Toys for the Fun of It" and "Main Street Bagels" are both celebrating their 15th anniversary too.

On Saturday, there will be a huge parties going on up and down Main Street.

Brown Cycles, for example will be showcasing several of their bikes for people to try out and have fun with.
