GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The cat’s out of the bag. Make that the tiger is out of the bag.

Jake Jabs, owner of American Furniture Warehouse, who is famous for having exotic animals like tigers in his commercials, has confirmed he’s bringing the chain back to Grand Junction.

The new store will be near the Rimrock Walmart and Gold’s Gym.

There was a store here in the mid–80s but it closed after the oil shale bust.

The new store will include a 100,000 square foot showroom and a warehouse that will draw people from 100 miles around, Jabs says.

He expects the store to open in 2011 and add about 150 jobs.

The showroom will carry all the American Furniture Warehouse products and the distribution warehouse can deliver it immediately.
