GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A business that's been in Grand Junction for 26 years has been forced to find a new address.
Watermark Spas and Pools may as well have been a landmark on Highway 6 & 50. But the Colorado Department of Transportation has purchased the property from owner Scott Alberts and officials plan to knock down the building in order to widen the highway, a project six years in the making.
Alberts says the relocation was a bit of a financial hardship during this difficult economy. "I wanted to get back to where I was when this started...and we're a little behind," says Alberts.
However, he says he’s keeping a positive attitude and loves his company's new spot, on 25 Road between Patterson and Highway 6 & 50. Alberts says the move was quick and hopes the new location will make a splash with customers.
