Grand Junction meets Philadelphia
Other than the Liberty Bell, there may not be anything that says Philadelphia more than a cheesesteak. Now, the classic sandwich has a home on the Mesa State College campus at the newly opened J's Philly Steaks.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Other than the Liberty Bell, there may not be anything that says Philadelphia more than a cheesesteak. Now, the classic sandwich has a home on the Mesa State College campus at the newly opened J's Philly Steaks.
Pennsylvania native Jay Fenton opened the restaurant last Friday after a slowdown in his construction career. His goal is to offer great grub you can't find anywhere else in the Grand Junction.
J's hallmark is obviously the Philly Cheese Steak, but there are other menu options as well, including: Teriyaki Steak and Buffalo Chicken.
Sandwiches run about eight bucks and Jay says he hopes to soon offer city-wide delivery service.
J's Philly Steaks is at the corner of 11th Street and North Avenue on the Mesa State College campus. It is open from 10-10 Sunday through Thursday and then 10-midnight on Friday and Saturday.
