Grand Junction meets Philadelphia
Other than the Liberty Bell, there may not be anything that says Philadelphia more than a cheesesteak. Now, the classic sandwich has a home on the Mesa State College campus at the newly opened J's Philly Steaks.

This is the best cheesesteak in Town! As good as my wife remembers from Philly! A bit pricey, but worth it!

Have to say I was NOT impressed. First they are very expensive ($2.65 for fries?), plus they tend to "forget" orders so you could sit around waiting for quite a while. I would avoid this place, which will not be hard as they will be out of business soon (hopefully).

Looks as though J's simply hasn't set up their voicemail box, MMF. That number was left by Jay himself, so we're assuming it's the right one. You might just want to stop by, they've been so busy (because it's so good) they're having a hard time keeping up and probably just need a gentle reminder about the answering machine. Enjoy!

Call 411, got the number. Got "the person you have called cannot take your call now".???????? Is this a business phone? (same number as on the comments)!!

These cheesesteaks taste like home...I am from Philly area and I missed the taste of a REAL cheese steak...J's is the best you can get out west!! The best way to eat them in my mind is with American cheese, onions, and (red) sauce. That's the way most people eat them in my town 45 minutes outside of center philly....its not the only way! But, its my recommendation!

Eight dollars is pretty reasonable, considering it's maybe a dollar and a half less to go pick up a burger from Burger King. Thanks, but I would much rather prefer a cheesesteak!

I'm sure they are good, but only a college student can afford $8 these days
