PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO) - A local art gallery says it knows not everyone is looking for large expensive art, and it's hoping to draw in more customers by expanding.

The Blue Pig Gallery in Palisade now features local small works of art from jewelry and handmade scarves to pottery.

Owner Jane Wood says this way you can buy a nice, thoughtful present without spending a fortune. "The Blue Pig has had a piglet. We've celebrated our third year. The Blue Pig's been three years here in Palisade and we wanted to do something unusual so we've opened this little branch with smaller works of art."

The Grand Opening for the small works of art space will be Friday, July 23 all day and they'll have snacks and live music.

The Blue Pig Gallery is located in Palisade on West Third Street.
