Smashburger location near Mesa State closed, new concept coming
After less than a year in business, the smashburger on 12th Street near Mesa State College has closed. The owners say they've come up with a new concept and will be cooking up food again soon.

It really sucks the way all of us got laid off. No Notice so we could look for new jobs. Some of the employees got jobs else where with in the company as for the hard working employees of smash burger did not.I feel like we got discriminated cause surtant ones of us did not kiss anyones ass for there job, we were straight up and honest with our employer. As for the ones who still have their jobs steal from work or are doing other things within the company. we all know what those people are doing...Yeah we are still mad about the way things happened ..

Prices are way too high. Burgers are just average. Have tried it 3 different times.... definitely not in my top 10 places to eat in Grand Junction. Red Robin prices are too high as well but at least they try and offer "deals" now that make some items more affordable.

They cost way too much money, when you can go pay that much for a fine sit down place.

Yup. They serve a perfectly decent burger, but people aren't going to pay ten bucks for it. I suspect the other locations won't last much longer either.
