A local road project paid for by federal stimulus dollars is officially underway.
This week, crews began construction on improvements to the Interstate 70 Interchange at Palisade.
CDOT officials say the project will keep drivers safer by lengthening the eastbound on–ramp.
Giving them more time to merge onto the interstate. Officials say $1.3 million in stimulus funds were doled out for the project.
CDOT says until construction is complete in November, drivers may see a few delays in the area.
