A mother is now charged with murder after her three children died in a house fire in Colorado Springs.
Deborah Nicholls' estranged husband already received three life sentences for the fire. She's to be advised Thursday in Colorado Springs of six counts of first–degree murder, three counts of child abuse, illegal drug use and conspiracy to commit first–degree murder.
She was arrested on Wednesday. Tim Nicholls was convicted earlier this year of felony murder in an arson, in the couple's home in 2003 that killed the kids ages 3 to 11.
Arson investigators found traces of an accelerant on the children's pajamas. Prosecutors say the couple needed to collect insurance money to pay off drug debts.
