A road in Rifle has been completely washed out because of flood waters.

A road in Rifle has been completely washed out because of flood waters.
Multiple debris slides and washouts have been reported on JQS road north of Rifle.
The road is one of two public access routes to the top of the Roan Plateau.
Officials don't have any idea when the road could reopen, but they say high snowpack melting at a rapid rate does bring the potential for more debris slides and wipeouts in the coming days.
