The president of the united auto workers union says don't blame the workers for the failure of the auto bailout bill.

During a news conference in Detroit, ron gettelfinger said autoworkers have made concessions and were prepared to make more concessions to get the bailout bill passed.

Gettelfinger also says the union appreciates the positive statement from the White House.

This morning, the Bush administration pledged to review all options for
Reviving the auto industry, including using some of the money from the
700-billion-dollar bank bailout.
