Montrose High School students were sent home early Wednesday after school officials say they received a credible bomb threat.
Police say suspicious writing was found in a boy's bathroom at the school. The writing said that there was a bomb in the school and that it would go off at 3:00p.m.
Students were released at 2:10 p.m. by zones according to Montrose County School District's website. All students who ride the bus were directed to the Lloyd McMillan gym until buses arrived.
Officials say school will be back in session tomorrow as scheduled.
The Montrose Police Department says a search of the building turned up nothing.
Anyone with information on the threat is asked to call police at 252-5200.
