It is amazing to me that such sorrow is felt over the restriction attached to this educational stimulus. There should be more concern with the performace of Dist. 51 schools as they are ranked exceptionally low. The issues of safty in the schools has never been thoroughly addressed. The performance of the school admin. has not once been held accountable. Worry more about the progress vs. any expected rewards. The grade for Dist. 51 on my report card is a solid "F" at this point. Time to change the focus. #1 Safety in schools. When you have bad acting students, bullies or ones that just don't care. Expell them from the system. Flat out. "NO TOLLERANCE", Try it. You will see a vast inprovment on all scales of education. Focus on teaching and not just playing a babysitter for 8hrs. If you are afraid of your students, get the parents involved. If they don't get involved, Expell them. Education is a priviledge, not a right. It should not be squandered on those with a lack of initiativ.
