Looking for a place to check out fireworks one day early? Head to Fruita.
Fruita celebrates the country's birthday a day early-on the 3rd of July at Snooks Bottom Open Space Park.
If you can't make it to Snooks Bottom, city officials say you can see the fireworks from anywhere in Fruita. One spot where you'll get a good view is the Kokopelli Shopping Center.
Another is at the parking lot behind LaQuinta. The fireworks will fill the sky shortly after dark, around 9 p.m.
