AURORA, Colo. (AP) -- Aurora police have found a body near the home of a woman who was last seen just after midnight Sunday.
Police were working to identify the body Monday.
Police spokeswoman Frank Fania says it was found near the home of 23-year-old Bertha Garcia, who was last seen around 12:15 a.m. Sunday. A male friend says that's when he and Garcia walked to his car together. He told police he saw a man approach Garcia as he drove away.
Police say Garcia may have been abducted by her 32-year-old ex-boyfriend, German Medina. Police say Medina had gone to his brother's house early Sunday asking to borrow his brother's car and a gun. The brother lent Medina only the car.
Officials confirm this is the same neighborhood where mass murder suspect James Holmes booby-trapped his own apartment, police say.
