Several Colorado Democrats flock to Charlotte, N.C., to represent the Centennial State at this year's Democratic National Convention.

Among them are Gov. John Hickenlooper, Rep. Diana DeGette and Rep. Jared Polis.

Congressman Polis is schedule to speak tonight about the unity and inclusiveness needed to move our country forward, focusing on his belief that diversity is part of America's strength.

Michelle Obama will be the last speaker of the evening tonight, following a video biopic covering her life.

Tonight's appearance is just part of the first lady's presence during the convention. She will be meeting with various caucuses and delegations over the course of the week.

Barack Obama will accept the party's nomination for president Thursday.
