Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO)-- If you have travel plans to the Front Range today; you may need to change them.

The slow moving storm is already dumping a lot of snow across the Denver area and into the eastern plains, where blizzard conditions are already occurring.

Over 500 flights in and out of DIA have already been canceled. According to Grand Junction Regional Airport, that includes Delta and United flights to and from Grand Junction.

Many Denver school districts announced last night that they will be closed, and there will be no legislative work at the Capitol.

Some are predicting as much as two feet of snow could fall in the Denver area. An amount that would make it one of the heaviest snowstorms in the city's history.

Snow began falling Thursday night, and forecasters say it could keep coming down until Saturday morning.
