GRAND JUNCTION-A new medical record system begin installed at Saint Mary's will mean a shift in some positions.
St Mary's hospital tells 11 News there are 28 positions on the 'patient accounting staff' that could be moved out of the area.
The transition to this electronic medical records system won't be completed until August of 2012, and at that time employees in the Billing and Accounting Department may have their jobs moved to Denver.
Dan Prinster, of Saint Mary's tells 11 News it's not yet known if all 28 positions will be able to be filled in Denver,
With the transition still many months away Pnster says some of the staff members may choose to relocate, and some may stay in Grand Junction and find work within St. Mary's or elsewhere.
