Recall Alert: Build-a-Bear Colorful Hearts Bear

Grand Junction, CO. (KKCO)--Build-a-Bear Workshop is recalling more than 280 thousand (284,000) Colorful Hearts Teddy Bears in the United States and more than 13 thousand (13,200) in Canada.

The eyes of the teddy bears can loosen and fall out, posing a choking hazard to young children.

So far, no injuries have been reported.

Consumers should return the product to any Build-a-Bear store to receive a coupon for any available Build-a-Bear stuffed animal.

    My first thought was that they some how managed to get lead in the bears. Toxic Teddy. And I know the who point of written and spoken language is for the expressing of ideas, so I suppose spelling and mixing numbers works functionally, if not by the normal rules. And many, many changes in language have come because of functional uses of language have replaced proper ones.

    "284-thousand" "13-thousand" Hahahaha, this is how you compensate for the fact that you "news readers" can't actually read numbers. Literacy, it's not for America any more...

      I was surprised by that as well. Either spelling it in full or giving just the number would be appropriate (or both), but not this mix.
