Narnia
Well this week I went to our mighty state Capital and intended to see the Newest addition of the Indiana Jones saga, but low and behold they were not showing that at the Colorado Center so... I saw NARNIA Prince Caspian in its stead. I have to say I did enjoy it...but this film is VERY VERY loooonnnnng. In fact it's two hours and 40 minutes long. Not to say that the entire time isn't spread out with plot and action equally. If you are looking for a kids flick then this is probably not the film to take your 6 year old. this is a very violent movie with alot of beheadings and if you are anything like me (and If you read me a lot then you probably are ) you will enjoy the great action sequences and the beautiful CG work. I actually grew up with these books and find it quite refreshing to see them come alive. C.S. Lewis was a treasure to modern society and would in my opinion be really pleased with the work director Andrew Adamson has one with his books. Though the story is as with all adaptations slightly different than that of the written page, but for the sake of pacing and time I feel they did a great job. So with all my little Blogs here come the moment when I pass judgement on the people doing what I want to do and with that said I rate this 4 out of 5 stars. P.S. thanks for all of you submissions to the contest and we will have another real soon so stay posted to the Reel Blog and NBC 11 News for more information. Until then .... keep it REEL and so will I Blog ya later....

One thing I think everyone needs to understand about the length of a film is that you need to have patience. A simple story is well enough. But a great story needs one to fall into the world the writer and director created. And time is a great factor for any good story. One does not read a book to get the just of the story as quickly as possible, not unless your in college. We read books to fall into a different world outside our own. One that makes us laugh, cry, and every emotion in between. I love reading. As much as I love watching movies. Because they are one in the same. Patiece is the ability to engrossed in the subject matter. If One can not sit through a long movie, either they have no interest in the subject matter. Or the director has failed in his attemt in entertaining you. My responce was not to be negitive, but informative.
