Good morning folks, I happy to have you guys join me right here at the reel blog! this week was a twofer and this time around I wasn't disappointed.
First off lets start with The Incredible Hulk. This is the second time around with the Hulk at Universal Pictures but the difference is this was actually good! Ang Lee's attempt at a comic book movie as C- at best The story was a bit on the weak side and the plot was too drawn out. Ang Lee's the Hulk actually makes me sleepy just thinking about it. Well with Louis Leterrier's version is a great improvement The back story of Bruce Banner is established right away and the action then jumps right in line *BANG!*
This Movie blends a good old fashioned Monster movie, the Hulk Television Series, the Bourne Identity all together into a beautiful symphony of action and intrigue and cool effects. if you are a fan of comic books and need some relief check out The Incredible Hulk! 3 1/2 out 5 stars and playing at the Regal
Well last night we here and KKCO hosted an event at the Regal. Yes the much anticipated remake of the TV show Get Smart . If you didn't watch Get Smart on it's original run or like I did on TV Land I tell ya... Get Smart is a satire on the spy genre starring Don Adams (Steve Carell in the Remake) as Maxwell Smart. The show was created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry is considered a cult classic.
In the remake we still follow Max Smart and the agency he represents CONTROL and His fight with the terrorist organization CHAOS. I thought that it was really funny. It has some really memorable moments that will leave you in stitches. Steve Carell is great with playing the very serious agent without a clue. Anne Hathaway stars as the beautiful Agent 99, Max's partner and WOW all I'm gonna say is WOW....Way HOT!!! okay that's the last thing I'll say about her.
Dwayne"the Rock" Johnson co-stars as the typical action character Agent 23 with Alan Arkin as The Chief
watch this movie your funny bone needs it
4 stars all for funny and playing at the Regal
