A Legend Passes and A Career Remembered
As some of you know actor Paul Newman passed away Friday at his home in Westport, Connecticut from cancer. I would like to share my favorite films of his and remember one of the last great leading men in Hollywood.

I guess My exposure to Paul Newman is like most people started with "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"(1969) co-starring Robert Redford , where he played the title role of Butch Cassidy. I was just a kid when I saw the film for the first time and really didn't see how great it was until I was about 16 years old or so (I really started getting into older films) and started taking notice of the actor's work. I then started playing pool with my friends and no character embodies Pool like "Fast Eddie Felson" and Newman plays him with charm and precision. My Dad was really into "The Hustler" and I have to admit I didn't see it till after I saw the sequel "The Color Of Money" (1986) co-starring Tom Cruise. Both films are wonderful due too Newman's performance.

I could go on and on but I don't think this web page could handle the amount of work Paul Newman has had. He will be remembered as a Business Man , and Actor , Race Car Driver and a Gentleman. I would like to leave you all with a list of my Top 5 favorite films with Paul Newman and please feel free to add your own as well.

1. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
2. The Hudsucker Proxy
3. Nobody's Fool
4 The Color of Money
5 The Towering Inferno
P.S. my son Jack's favorite ...Cars

Thank you Mr. Newman
