Do you have a closet full of clothes you never wear? If you have great pieces, but nothing to go with them, it might be because you don't have enough wardrobe basics. Lori Wynne from Fashion With Flair, stopped by 11News Today to tell us about "capsule wardrobes." A capsule wardrobe is the building block of a truly useful closet. It includes basic items you use every day and can spice up by adding accessories for each season.

Lori explained that having a capsule wardrobe will save you time, money, and make it easier and faster to get ready. You'll save time by knowing that each piece in your wardrobe goes together. You can wear all of those unused pieces in your closet with these basics, providing you with extensive options. You'll save money because you won't be buying the same sorts of things, over and over again.

To make getting ready even more of a breeze, Lori suggests making a grid of your outfit options. For example, to create a complete outfit, Lori says you need three elements: Top, bottom, and jacket. Or top, bottom, and scarf. Don't be afraid to accessorize! Accessories are the perfect way to update and personalize your look for each season, without having to buy new clothes.

Lori points out that a capsule wardrobe is great for all women. It doesn't matter if you work in an office, are a stay-at-home mom, or a ski instructor -- these items will come in handy for any occasion. If you know a young woman getting ready to graduate college, Lori suggests getting her a few core pieces. They'll help her through job interviews and moving on from sweats and college gear.

    Hey where are you Lauren?

I'm not sure about khaki pants. It's easy to look like a server at Outback Steak House if the pants aren't the right cut. I think some of the items listed above are frumpy. Not that you have to be trendy, but these things are really ho-hum and I think would be very aging on a lot of women.

I loved this part of the show today it was very helpful. I have printed the list and will work on getting the staples so I don't keep buying stuff that doesn't go together.
