GRAND JUNCTION - The Central Warriors scored on their opening drive of the game and forced four Rifle turnovers to beat the Bears at Stocker Stadium on Thursday night 24-17.
It was the Warriors final non-conference game and the win is Central's second straight win after beating the Fruita Monument Wildcats last week.
Central has next weekend off and will begin league play the following week against the Durango Demons on Friday, October 12. The game will be played at 7:00 p.m. in Durango.
