GRAND JUNCTION - Grand Junction survived a tough effort from the Central Warriors on Tuesday with a 46-40 win to stay undefeated in Southwestern Conference Play.
Central led 7-5 in the first quarter. They never owned the lead again though they did cut the Tiger's lead to 36-35 in the fourth quarter when Blaine Jackson and Sean Citlau hooked up on a fast break layup.
But the Tiger's defense held down the strech for a six point league victory.
Junction's Everett Robinson led all scorers with 17 points. Calvin Rock scored 13 and Geoff Baldwin chipped in 11.
Citlau paced the Warriors with 13 and Cody Derner added 11.
