Montrose, Colo. - The Central girls cruised in the second half to a 51-35 win over the Montrose Indians. The Warrior boys needed a bit more timely shooting. A bucket in the final seconds helped Central go two for two on Friday with a 49-47 win against Montrose.
The Montrose boys fall to 10-6 on the season and 1-3 in Southwestrn League play. The Warriors pull to .500 on the season at 9-9 and in conference play 3-3.
The Warrior girls handed Montrose just their second loss of the season. Alaina Brennan led the way with 16 points. Kaitlyn Grode chipped in 14.
Montrose lost their second game in a row after starting the seaon 14-0. Jordan DeJulio led the way in the losing effort with 13 points.
