Central Girls Run Streak To 13 In-a-row

FRUITA, Colo. - The Central Girls basktball team ran their win streak to 13 in-a-row on Friday night with a 44-28 win over the Fruita Monument Wildcats.

The Warriors were without sophomore star Amy Kame in the win due to a stress fracture in her right leg. Senior captain Alaina Brennan took over the game with a game high 20 points on the night.

Kaitlyn Grode scored nine points for the Warriors while Mikayla Duffy chipped in with five.

The Wildcats were led in defeat by Mary McGee's eight points. Cami O'Brien scored five pionts and three different Wildcats had four including Sarah Hensley, Katie Lewis, and Whitney King.

Next up for the Warriors is another big rivalry game against the Grand Junction Tigers on Tuesday night, February 19.

The Wildcats travel to Montrose to play on the same night.
