GRAND JUNCTION - Over the past few years at Central High School, girls athletics has been graced with the talent of Alaina Brennan. Now Brennan will be a multi-sport athlete for the Mesa State Mavericks.

Brennan signed a national letter of intent to play both softball and basketball at Mesa State next year on an athletic scholarship.

She excelled during her high school career at both softball and basketball but told most college scouts that she was not interested in playing softball at the college level.

Brennan said that going to Mesa State was an easy choice to make because of their great nursing program and that playing basketball and softball for the Mavs is juts icing on the cake.
