Warriors take early lead in SWC standings

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Central Warriors are now tied for first place in the Southwestern Conference standings after defeating the Fruita Monument Wildcats last Friday night.

It was the Warriors first conference game of the year but the 36-0 drubbing of the Wildcats has them tied with the Grand Junction Tigers at 1-0 in the SWC.

The Wildcats loss was their second straight shutout loss. They fell to the Tigers the week before 13-0 to start 0-2 in SWC play.

Central's next game is on Friday, October 9 on the road against Eaglecrest.
