Warriors hold off Tigers for wrestling win

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - (KKCO) The Central Warriors wrestling team held off a Grand Junction Tigers comeback to win the match 53-21 on Wednesday night.

Central held an early 15-0 lead when the Tigers recorded back-to-back falls to cut the lead to three. Shaun Herrera pinned Levi Scott in the 135 pound match and then Jesse Hoffschneider defeated Nic Matta by fall to make it 15-12.

But in the following match Willy Holdren stole the momentum right back for the Warriors. He defeated Gage Casey in the 145 pound division by fall in the second period.
