GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Just 10 days ago, the Central Warriors were sitting in the cellar of the SWL standings. Come April 23rd, and they're one win from tying the league's leader in the left hand column.

The 2012 season has been a roller-coaster ride for the Warriors,to say the least. The red and white of Central started out 4-0, and then dropped 3 straight. Since then, however, the ride has picked back up as the Warriors have taken 6 of their last 7 contests.

"I think losing to Windsor [High School] was a big shock to us," Central coach Chuck Yost told KKCO 11 Sports' Phil Stafford on Monday. "We came out the next day against Smoky Hill and played real well. It's kind of snowballed since there," Yost added.

Central has won 4 straight games in league play, but they will face Fruita Monument on Tuesday - a team they lost to by 3 in late March.
