Central beats Prairie View in slugfest

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Central used a big six-run third inning to knock off Prairie View 15-8 on the second day of the Fanning Classic.

Derek DiThomas had another big day going 3-4 with four runs scored, and Tanner Reid settled in to pitch four effective innings for his first victory. Reid gave up three runs in the first, but put up zeroes the next three innings.

Central will finish off the Fanning Classic tomorrow against Fossil Ridge at 10 a.m.
