Central boys win first SWL game, girls fall to 0-6

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Central boys won their first league game on Friday night against Durango, while the girls lost to remain winless in the SWL.

The boys (3-16, 1-5) got off to a slow start against the Demons, but luckily for the Warriors, Durango came out slow as well. There were just two field goals in the first quarter (both from Taylor Sanchez). Sanchez led the 55-46 win with 20 points.

The girls (2-16, 0-6) played a close game with the Demons in the first half, but Durango pulled away to claim a 55-26 win.

Central will be back at it on Saturday to take on the Cortez Panthers. For highlights of these games, click on the video link above.
