GJHS loses first SWL game, Central wins slugfest

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Durango made a late push to give the Grand Junction Tigers their first loss in the SWL 5-4 while the Central Warriors defeated Cortez 27-17 in an old fashioned slugfest.

With the loss, the Tigers fall to 9-2 overall and 4-1 in league play. Central improved to 9-4 and 2-2 thanks to their 27 run outburst. Dane Barslund stared with six hits, five doubles, and seven RBI.
