GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) With Central High School wrapping up their football season against Grand Junction and Montrose, two of the best teams in the state, Saturday's game against Wheat Ridge may have been their best chance to get into the win column before their schedule's up.
But struggles on both sides of the ball kept them from doing so.
The Warriors had a number of turnovers including a pick-six late in the second quarter.
The Farmers gained a running clock when they scored just before halftime and come away with the win 46-7.
Wheat Ridge improves to 5-3, Central drops to 0-8.
