GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Central Warriors have had a difficult time finding the path to victories, but Tuesday night was a big confidence boost for the young team as they pulled away with a 52-50 victory in overtime.
Rifle would not let up. Even when Central held the lead the majority of the fourth quarter, Rifle came back and pulled ahead 37-36 with 17 seconds left on the clock. A late foul sent Makenzie Lange to the line and she came away with the game-tying point.
The teams went into overtime, and even those extra four minutes wouldn't be an easy trek. In the end, Central had the final say for the well-earned victory.
