GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Central picked up a big win, shutting out Fruita Monument 1-0, while Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs played to a 1-1 tie.
Jake Sebesta scored the lone goal for the Warriors (1-1) in the 17th minute of the first half. Conor Beach earned the shutout in goal with an outstanding performance, including a game-winning save in the final seconds. The Wildcats fall to 0-3 on the season.
Grand Junction (0-2-1) was tied with Glenwood Springs (2-0-1) 0-0 at halftime. Both teams scored in the second half.
Grand Junction and Fruita Monument will meet on Tuesday, September 13th at 5 p.m. at Canyon View Park.
Central will play at Eagle Valley on Saturday, September 10th.
