GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Luke McLean found the endzone on 4th and goal to give No. 6 Palisade the lead, and the win, 24-12.
Central (0-1) led 12-8 at the half thanks to a pair of touchdown passes from Taylor Sanchez. The senior QB found Josh Weller for a 22-yard score and then Kyle Rowe for a 3-yard TD.
But Palisade (1-0) answered in the third quarter when McLean snuck in for the score to make it 14-12. JT Townsend added a 2-pt conversion to make it 16-12 Bulldogs.
Palisade got it's first score of the game on a 3-yard run by Ronald Kuntz. Shortly thereafter, the senior came up with an interception.
