Hayden to lead CHS boys hoops

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- The Central High School athletic department announced that Kurt Schneider would not be able to coach the varsity boys basketball team due to personal circumstances, and that Ryan Hayden would take his place.

Hayden has served as a varsity boys assistant coach for both Steve Phillips and Mike Krueger at Palisade High School. Hayden was also an all-state player, and helped the lead the Bulldogs to the final eight at the state playoffs in 2000.

Schneider was hired on June 6th to replace Phil Cain, who had been the head coach of the Warriors for the past seven seasons.
