GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Taylor Sanchez had a choice to make; take a shot as a preferred walk-on at Colorado State to play division I football, or stay home for a guaranteed spot with the division II Colorado Mesa Mavericks. He chose the latter.

Sanchez was a stand-out quarterback at Central High School, but he was recruited as a defensive back for the Mavericks. Sanchez is not convinced that is where he will stay. The gifted athlete believes he can stay on the offensive side of the ball as either a slot-back or wide receiver.
