Softball: Fruita takes another win in league from Central
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Fruita Monument Wildcats showed on Thursday that they can win a close game in league play.
Fruita manufactured a 6-3 win over Central at Bergman field Thursday to stay perfect in league play.
The Grand Junction Tigers also won their league contest with the Montrose Indians 9-6 by scoring five runs in the final inning.
The Tigers trail the Wildcats in the SWL standings by one game.
The two teams meet up for the final time in the regular season on Tuesday.
