GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- The Tigers scored 16 unanswered points in the second quarter to distance themselves from the Warriors in a 62-33 win at Central High School on Tuesday.
Sean Rubalcaba led Grand Junction (12-5, 3-1) with 18 points, while Casey Burns added 15 points. Nate Yanez scored 12 points and Tyler Winder had 10 points.
GJHS outscored Central (1-15, 0-4) 18-2 in the 2nd quarter. The Warriors were led by Taylor Sanchez with 15 points and freshman Trey Fair who chipped in with 7 points.
Junction plays at Montrose on Friday, while Central hosts Fruita Monument.
