Tigers shutout Cortez, Warriors fall to Durango

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Grand Junction continued its dominance with an 11-0 win over Cortez, while Central stumbled to a 7-3 loss at Durango on Friday.

Brandon Thompson tossed a complete game shutout (6 innings) for the Tigers (9-1, 4-0). Michael McGovern led GJHS at the plate, going 2-4 with a home run and 5 RBI's.

Central falls to 8-4 overall, and 1-2 in the SWL. The Warriors will play at Montezuma-Cortez on Saturday, while Junction goes up against Durango.
