GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Grand Junction scored six runs in the sixth inning to overcome a four run deficit on route to an 8-6 win over Central at Suplizio Field on Tuesday night.

GJHS (7-1, 2-0) trailed 6-2 entering the 6th, but drew a pair of walks to start the inning. The Tigers then manufactured two runs on a pair of infield singles to cut it to 6-4. Hutton Veatch gave the Tigers the lead with a 3-run triple to the left-center gap. Junction added one more run on a balk to take an 8-6 lead into the 7th inning.

The Warriors (5-2, 0-1) had the tying run on second base when Garrick Lemley delivered a called-strike three to end it.
