For District 51 6th and 10th graders, there is one more stop they need to make before they can get back to school: TDAP vaccinations. Monday and Friday of this week some area schools have one-stop shots for students.

Just head to Central High School or Palisade High School on Monday, or go to Fruita Monument High School on Friday to get the mandatory TDAP vaccination, which provides protection from the diseases tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis. These are more commonly known as lockjaw (tetanus) and whooping cough (diphtheria and pertussis). The vaccines are required for students in both 6th and 10th grade.

The vaccine is $14.50. Below is the complete list of vaccination clinic times:
Monday, August 10 from 7:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Central High School
Monday, August 10 from 8 - 11 a.m. at Palisade High School
Friday, August 14 from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Fruita Monument High School
