District 51 Superintendent Steve Schultz is offering insight into how the District is monitoring a possible H1N1 outbreak.

Schultz says the District's teachers are all trained in how to spot symptoms of the H1N1 virus.

The District has also set up a special location at each school to hold students who show signs of the H1N1 virus while they wait for their parents to come get them.

District officials are monitoring attendance on a daily basis at all 41 schools, and keeping in close contact with the Mesa County Health Department. They are looking for spikes in absences that could indicate a potential outbreak.

Schultz says there have been no confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus at District 51.
