For the first time in Mesa County a group of 4th and 5th graders were inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society.

Twenty one Pear Park students were honored for having a 3.5 GPA or above.

The National Elementary Honor Society was created last year to recognize younger students and help them develop leadership skills.

Students say it’s great to be a part of the society.

Pear Park is the first school in Mesa County to have an induction ceremony for the Honor Society.
