MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - District 51 says 102 full time employees have taken them up on an early retirement offer.
From district assistants to teachers and groundskeepers, a wide range of employees will be leaving in June.
A district spokeswoman says all 102 will get 75 percent of what they made this school year paid over four years.
The district says 450 employees were eligible for early retirement and they thought around 125 teachers would take it.
The district says the early retirement plan will save $1.6 million.
All the teachers that took the ERO can still sub in the district.
