GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - School District 51 is taking a new approach to educating students about financial stability by giving them a concert.

On April 17 at Suplizio Field, Money XLive will be taking place.

It’s an MTV-style concert that will have live bands, a dance crew and guest speakers sharing their personal financial experiences and helping students with theirs.

Tickets are $12 with students benefiting from the sales.

Assistant Executive Director of District 51 Elementary Schools Lesley Whitacer says, “All the proceeds for this event will go back to our community in the form of scholarships for our kids.”

Gates open at 4 p.m. and the concert starts at 5 p.m.
